The first time I dined here I ordered rice and ended up with fries. When I brought this to the attention of the waitress, it was fortunate the manager (or possibly the shift supervisor) overheard and was right here with my rice within a minute. I ordered pumpkin pie for dessert and was stunned to receive it ice cold and still frozen in the middle. Again the waitress was clueless but managed to rectify it at least. I should know better than to expect much from a franchise, but this is Fredericton, city of pathetic dining choices.

A few years ago, my spouse and I ordered takeout from this place. They messed up the order and refused to send someone back out with the missing item, but said we'd get it for free ''next time'' we ordered. The next time we ordered takeout, it was an ordeal to get this ''free'' item, and they AGAIN messed up the order (missing items, again). I went online and contacted their head office to complain and was told that we could get our next order for free. Against our better judgment, we ended up ordering. The food was ice cold (not just room temperature -- cold) when we got it. I have never eaten there or ordered from there since, and have shared my story with as many people as I could. Worst service I've ever had in Fredericton.
My visit to the fredericton swiss was a very bad experience. i have gone many times and brought new family members that have never gone before. The hostess entered the front and asked how many i said 5, she had a look of shock. Then proceeded to the dinning area, no communication as of to wait or go,so i and my 4 guest followed. She then turned back and seen that we followed and sat us, explained that we should have waited, till she had a table ready. I said i was so excited that i was sorry for not waiting. Had she communicated to wait at the front while she looked for a table would have been fine. Next we had our waitress come to our table. She asked for our order. Children order first hambergers and fries. Myself i ordered the ever popular quater chicken dinner. Waitress responded will dark meat due. I repied sure. My brother in law ordered the same. My sister ordered messy sandwhich. Our drinks were brought to the table , waitress forgetting lemon wedges for the water i ordered. I was ok with that not a big deal. Then dinner came, I was surprised to see on my plate one piece of chicken and one scoop of potatoes, one dinner roll. Immediately i asked the waitress if the menu had changed , it seemed to me that it was a smaller portion then normal. Wasitress repied no we have not changed and that was the dinner. Still in disamay i was not happy with the portion size for the price. As my guest and i talked about the size it was revelant that i needed more. I proceeded by asking the hostess that when the waitress gets a chance could she return to our table. Well the manager came to our table asked what was wrong. I went on as to say the same reply that i gave the witress. His reply was that had i ordered white meat and for a dollar more could have had vegetables. The waitress did not explain this, as my sister reillatered to the manager. He was very defensive and offered to take the plate back with no charge. So no dinner for me after talking so highly to my family about how good they were. During this my sister had lost her appetite and sent hers back as well. The hostess was at the front area talking idolly with other staff members about our table. The manager did not fix any of the issues no empathy or sympathy shown. This was embarrassing as to explain to the two young children that were with us. Swiss chalet in moncton nb has the best service and great food. Fredericton terrible service lack of commincation. My family and close relatives are aware of our visit and none of us will be returning to the fredericton location. Considering i love the mouth watering food i will revisit the moncton location. I am writing this hoping that the right person with customer service in mind will read this and teach the fredericton staff the 8 general principles of customer service. This would make for a better enviroment, 'that way the manager does not have to go out for a stressed smoke break in the back of the building. Long story short a situation made bigger than it was ,it could have been handled better and i and my family should have left happy wanting to go back. my husband and i ate here tonight it was his birthday ,we ask for a pitcher of ice water didnt get one we ask 3 times for refill didnt get that either,we were so agravated didnt bother with dessert(we always get) ..this was my 2 bad experiences (food was good)
